We are two moms connecting moms, communities and companies.

LinkedMoms chat will be discussing how to get ready for winter.  What do you do? Put away the patio furniture? Store the window screens? Put up the Christmas lights before it snows?

Around here I flip the bed mattresses when the clocks change to Standard time in the fall and daylight saving time in the spring.  I also stock up on canned goods that I use for stews and soups.  Going out to pick up a can of tomatoes or tomato paste when its cold and drizzling outside is NOT appealing. Having canned good help me make yummy things a crock pot. Getting ready for winter, I also review what is in my freezer and try to use up any meat, chicken or frozen food that has been in there for a while.  Time to turn things over.

Kozzi-Path-in-the-Forest_Woods-294 X 441Outside you need to rake the leaves and dig up annuals.  Then turn off the outdoor taps, check the calking around the windows & doors.  As far as inside the house is concerned, I will make sure that all the screen for the windows are cleaned. I cleaned the windows a few weeks back.  Its no fun looking out the window if it is covered in dust.  I also clean all the baseboards – another tedious task that doesn’t need to be done more then every three months (or so I think).

What about car maintenance, do you schedule a tune up?  My husband took his car in yesterday to get the winter tires put on.  Do you schedule a however-many-point-check-up? Oil, windshield washer fluid or air in your tires?

We are discussing what you need to do to get ready for winter.  We will have prizes that include books, a gift bag from Philosophy skin products, some fun toys and maybe a gift card or two… Make sure to come by and find out what surprises we have for our #LinkedMoms community.
